New School Supply Allowance Guidelines:
Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, student attendance will be considered when determining eligibility for the School Supply Allowance:
- Students who were absent 20 days or fewer during the 2025–2026 school year will normally qualify for the full School Supply Allowance.
- Students with more than 20 days absent may receive a prorated School Supply Allowance at the beginning of the school year.
- The remaining portion of the allowance may be provided in January, following a review of the student’s attendance, participation, and engagement during the first half of the school year.
This new approach is intended to encourage regular attendance, recognize student commitment, and continue supporting families throughout the school year.
Working Together for Student Success
Regular school attendance is one of the strongest predictors of academic success, graduation, employment readiness, and lifelong learning.
The Lax̱g̱alts’ap Village Government believes that education is a shared responsibility between students, families, schools, and the community. By working together, we can improve attendance, strengthen student success, and create greater opportunities for every learner.
Need Assistance:
If you have questions about your attendance record or believe there were exceptional circumstances that affected your child’s attendance, please contact the Education Department. We are committed to working with families to support every student’s success.
