This Official Community Plan (OC)) has been approved under the authority of both the Nisg̱a’a Community Planning and Zoning Enabling Act, and the British Columbia Local Government Act, which each state that a local government may approve, by Bylaw, one or more OCP’s for designated areas within each Nisg̱a’a Village.
The OCP builds a roadmap to sustainability, self-sufficiency and improved governance capacity by providing a statement of objectives and policies to guide future progressive community planning and land use decisions. It serves to guide the Village in decision making and inform community residents and regional partners.
