CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Nisg̱a’a Mural Artwork
Lax̱g̱alts’ap Village Government is seeking submissions of Expressions of Interests from Nisg̱a’a artisans for the design of a Nisg̱a’a formline mural painting that will be featured on the exterior sidewall of a 30-unit apartment complex that will be constructed at 2 Alder Drive in Lax̱g̱alts’ap.
Background:
The construction of a 30-unit apartment complex will commence in the Spring of 2026. As part of the project design, Lax̱g̱alts’ap Village Government wishes to incorporate Nisg̱a’a mural artwork on the exterior of the building that will instill a sense of Nisg̱a’a pride and ownership for the community and all future tenants of the complex.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must provide a portfolio of artwork samples that portrays painted Nisg̱a’a formline
- Must provide a proposed budget and timeline
- Previous experience completing a similar project
- Must be a Nisg̱a’a citizen
Submissions:
We encourage interested Nisg̱a’a artists to submit an Expression of Interest that includes:
- Coverletter providing an overview of your interest and previous experience working on a similar project
- Portfolio of artwork for review
- Proposed budget and timeline
- Proof of Nisg̱a’a citizenship
Deadline:
- Open until satisfactory artist found – submit as soon as possible
