Jennifer Ryhorchuk is a Lax̱g̱alts’ap Nisg̱a’a Post Secondary Education Assistance Program (NPSEAP) alumni student with an incredible success story!
Jen graduated from MacEwan University in 2023 with a degree in Professional Communications. Following her studies, she completed internships in both marketing and human resources before beginning her professional career with a railway contractor.
Currently with REMCAN Projects, a full service railway contractor that operates in Canada and the United States, Jen has progressed rapidly from a contract recruiter to leading strategic initiatives that support workforce development and strengthen partnerships with Indigenous communities.
“I tell everyone it’s my dream job,” Jen shared with Education Manager Phyllis Clark, “I get paid to talk and build relationships with Indigenous organizations and communities which I am passionate about!”
In her role, Jen has had the opportunity to support Indigenous individuals across the country in finding employment and navigating careers in the railway industry, while connecting with communities and organizations from BC to Ontario.
